Need help writing your CV? Wondering how to stand out as an applicant?
OCPD's Application Materials Clinics for Health Profesions Students will give you the tools you need to succeed. Join us for an interactive workshop that will review the components of what Residency Directors look for when they build their teams, as well as common pitfalls students make when creating their CVs. You will also have opportunities to participate in activities that will help you critique and compose a better CV. Lastly you'll learn how you could better write your personal statement through refining your CV into a cohesive narrative for Residency Directors.

Learn how to draft your CV in a way that clearly shows you are a top candidate.

Learning Description:
By the end of this workshop you will be able to:

- Recognize the most common mistakes made on CVs by reviewing samples
- Prioritize the skills and experiences Residency Directors are looking for by understanding how they build their teams
- Craft and tailor a message that conveys your most relevant strengths and skills to Residency Directors
- Discuss how your CV could also be used as an outline for writing your personal statement
- Practice organizing, formating and framing your CV to better target opportunities that you're interested in

Please Note:
-Lunch will be provided during this session. Please be sure to register for this event in order to secure your meal

-Please bring a draft of your CV to this event. You will not be able to participate in activities without having at least a rough draft of your CV on hand

-Please bring a laptop to this session, if possible

-Everyone is welcome to register for this event however due to applicational seasonality, preference for registration will be given to rising 4th year students in the residency application process.

-The workshop is limited to 20 health professions students. Please register by the Friday before the workshop and we'll let you know if you've been accepted into this workshop within 48 business hours.
